DoJ Withholds Trump Rape Claims Documents
The Epstein File Transparency Act had a deadline in December for the release of all the files in the possession of the DoJ. It has failed to comply, releasing about half of the 5-6 million documents. In a hardly surprising revelation on Tuesday, the DoJ seems to have withheld documents related to allegations that Donald Trump raped and beat a 13-year-old girl. The DoJ claims all the documents that can be released have been. This is complete nonsense as their own paperwork shows. The allegations came in 2019, when the FBI interviewed the woman who made the claims. That was the year Jeffrey Epstein died in prison and when Donald Trump was president.
CNN reported:
An evidence log provided to attorneys for Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell includes serial numbers for about 325 FBI witness interview records -- but more than 90 of those records, over a quarter of the list, don't appear to be present on the DOJ website, according to CNN's review.
Among those missing records are three interviews related to a woman who told agents that Epstein had repeatedly abused her starting when she was approximately 13 years old, and who also accused Trump of sexually assaulting her.
"We have a survivor that made serious allegations against the president," Congressman Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, said "But there's a series of documents, and it would appear to be possible interviews, that the FBI conducted with the survivor that are actually missing, that we don't have access to."
What appears to be missing that might be of most value to investigators are the so-called 302 files, which detail what an FBI agent is told by a witness. At least 3 of these are missing from the Trump rape allegation documents.
Now, allegations are not proof. They do, however, provide a hypothesis to be tested against the evidence. That is the basis of modern criminal justice. Here is the charge, and here is what the evidence says about it. After that is presented at trial, a jury decides whether the case is proved. In this instance, there is no testing because the DoJ is hiding the allegations, denying the hypothesis even exists.
The American media appear hesitant to tell the details, but the Times over in London has no such worries. In 1994, a Jane Doe alleged she was taken to parties by Mr. Epstein where Mr. Trump was in attendance. The Times cited a document from the files:
"During the first party, Doe was asked to strip down to her underwear and give a massage to Epstein," the account says. "Doe was asked by Epstein to do sexual acts, but she refused. Doe was later asked to massage the penis of Epstein's guest, Trump, with her hands. Doe was told that this was what she had to do in order to get a job and Doe complied.
"During the second party, Doe was asked to perform oral sex on Trump and complied. During the third party, Doe was made to perform oral sex on Trump with another young girl named [redacted]. During the fourth visit, Doe was raped by Trump . . . ."
Maybe it is just a he said, she said situation. Maybe it was all a misunderstanding. Maybe it is all made up. Or maybe it is the truth. There is a way to find out. Release ALL of the files as required by law.
The decline under the Trump administration continues to accelerate.
